How do I confirm my reservation?

To confirm your reservation simply reply in writing to our email offer. You will then receive a confirmation email requesting a deposit of 30%.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations will be processed according to the recommendations of the Austrian Hotel Regulations:


The accommodation contract can be cancelled in writing free of charge up to three months before the agreed check-in date. For cancellations up to one month before arrival, a fee of 40% of the total price will be charged. Up to one week before arrival 70% of the total price will be charged. For no- shows and cancellations during the final week before arrival or early departure, a fee of 90% of the price will be charged. Cancellations will only be accepted in writing (e-mail)

How can I pay?

We accept cash, Maestro, Mastercard  or Visa

Are Dogs allowed?

Yes, we welcome dogs to Wood Ridge. A € 35,-  fee applies for your dogs’ stay and does not include dog food. We request that dogs do not enter bedrooms and are not allowed to sit on the couches. Please bring your own dogs’ bed and towels for wet days. Dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times.

Can I request a specific chalet number?

We will do our best to accommodate you in your specified chalet number if in accordance to our booking calendar.

When can we check-in and when do we have to check –out?

Your chalet will be ready for you at 3pm. The reception is open on check in days between 3pm and 5pm. If you intend on arriving later please let us know and we can arrange a meeting time.

Check- out time is 10am. We pride ourselves on excellent cleaning, this takes time so we kindly request respecting these times.

How does breakfast work?

A Bio breakfast basket will be delivered to the front door of your chalet on your first morning. The basket contains eggs, milk, butter, sliced meats, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit juice, tee, jams, corn flakes, muesli and fruit of the season.  If you run out of any of these products you may order them free of charge daily. They will be delivered the next day. Bread is not included in the basket!

What about bread?

You may order from a selection of fresh breads and rolls! Your order will be delivered each morning at around 8am.Completed order forms will be collected from your chalet at 11am.

I have a food allergy and/or I am vegetarian.

If you have any food allergies, or special dietary requirements please let us know prior to your arrival so we can arrange suitable foods for you. Of course you will not be charged extra.

What is in the kitchen?

You kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stove dishwasher, fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, hot water kettle, toaster and fondue set. A sufficient amount of plates, bowls, cutlery, sharp knives, glasses, red and white wine glasses, schnapps glasses, mixing bowls, salad bowl,  cooking utensils, sauce pans, frying pan and a cutting board is also provided. Should you have any special requirement not listed please let us know.

What about spices, paper towel and toilet paper?

Coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, oil and vinegar are also included. Toilet paper, paper towel, dishwashing liquid, tabs for the dishwasher and dish washing cloths are also part of the equipment.

What about towels?

If you would like a fresh set of towels no problem! Simply write any special requests on your bread order form and we will deliver clean towels to your door. As an environmentally friendly business we kindly request that towels are not changed every day.

Will my chalet be cleaned every day?

No, generally our guests enjoy the fact that they do not have to leave the chalet because of cleaners. The final cleaning is compulsory but if you want your chalet cleaned during your stay it is no problem. You will be charged according to how much you want cleaned and how long the cleaners take.

Do you provide cots?

Yes! Please inform us before you arrive if you require cots or high chairs. These are free of charge.

How far away is the next supermarket?

Wood Ridge is situated 1.5kms for the centre of the village where you will find a supermarket carrying almost everything you need. Please note that all shops (apart from sport shops) are closed on Sundays.

How far away is the next ski resort?

Ski – in Ski-out, we are situated directly on the ski slope of a ski resort called “Bergbahnen Werfenweng”.  A  relaxed ski resort, great for those looking for perfectly groomed ski slopes and some exciting powder runs. Click on the link below to check out the ski slopes.

Do I need to bring my own sled?

One sled is provided per chalet and others can be rented from the sport shops.

Extra people. It says the chalet is for ten people, can 11 or 12 people come if they bring their own bed?

No sorry. Please understand that we are renting luxury accommodation and would like to maintain a high standard. If there are too many people staying in one house we cannot guarantee the relaxation and holiday we would like to provide you with.

The given numbers apply for each chalet and include babies!

Can we smoke in the chalet?

No, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the chalets. Ashtrays are provided outside on the deck.

Do I need snow chains and Winter tyres?

The roads are generally very well cleared and the use of snow chains is very rare. However we do recommend keeping chains in your car just in case. The Austria law requires the use of Winter tyres from the 1st November to 15th April.
